Just back from seeing these dudes play the ABC here in lovely Glasgow (liquid refreshment? yes please) and despite being half an hour or so late and being in the 'couples who just want to giggle and gossip' area of the crowd, it was an absolutely phenomenal performance.
One of the best I might have ever seen actually, while it might not have been the most personally exciting (I pretty much just stood there the whole time sipping my horse piss Australian 'beer') gig there was no escaping the raw energy and excitement on the stage. Johnny Marr didn't look a day over 21 and along with the other members of the band played their hearts out.... and I simply cannot to see them again in September when they play Connect Festival!
If you live in any of the towns Modest Mouse are still to visit and haven't sold out, trust me go seem them!
...and if you've somehow never heard of them enjoy! |

Hello! Not sure if this has been posted before, but my friend just sent me a postcard from Seattle and with it, she attached a Travis article from Filter magazine. It was a nice little surprise :)
I found the article online here: http://www.filter-mag.com/minidownloads/gmg17_download.pdf
It's on page 6.
(Attempt #2 at posting this. Let's hope it goes to the right section this time!) |
