The chatting up thing is not a drink thing it's a confidence thing, which btw you should keep an eye on cause AA rooms are full of people who drank because it gave them confidence |

it would help a lot.
"Dor can u accept me a shi i deno"
I'm Guessing (now only guessing now)
Doireann, Can You Accept Me, Ah Shit I Don't Know.
probably trying to tell you something but too shy, possibly??
oh lordy. that's just as confusing.
i think a rule should be made that drunk people should only be allowed possession of phones that can ring taxi companies , ambulances and nobody else.
That is so so true...
I once rang a taxi only to be told, "phone the right number ya drunken bum, this is your mother"
hmm, well i'm guilty of "sending the text to the person the text was about", while they were in the same room(kinda like the david o doherty song ).
Oh God i've done that! Its so embarrassing!
it's awful i wanted to die the second i realised what i'd done. worse thing was they sent back a message going "why didn't you just walk over here and tell me?"
it wasn't all bad though cos they didn't realise it was about them because i'd cleverly referred to them by their codename (just in case a situation like that ever did occur-thank fuck).
the codename i'd used was also the name the particular individual used to refer to somebody else.
all very complicated. still really did want the earth to crack open and swallow me regardless. |

Codenames are definately good! I tend to use them because its easy for some things to come out lol |

Lol, you make it seem as if drinking is a bad thing. It doesn't have to be bad. Everything in moderation. |

Okay, this is a different type of question, but how are you guys saving updates to your profiles? I've only managed to do it twice since I joined :P Only at random it seems. I want to add some stuff about me, but no matter what I do it won't save my text! |

Exactly! I know i would never be able to 'dance' in a club without alcohol. And let's face it nobody would ever pull anybody without the aid of vodka/JD/etc ;)
i think that only works when the "anybody" is drunk too. I think drunk people are usually very annoying when i am sober:)

I once heard someone say, alcohol doesn't give anything it takes. (for example, it doesn't give you confidence but it takes some inhibitions, which allow you to act more casual or outgoing) |

It's absolutely a cultural thing. For example, when I was travelling and staying at hostels everyone would go for a drink in the bar in the evening and it was the UK folk (and Aussies) who were the ones buying big rounds for everyone there, but the whole idea of buying a round seemed to confuse the North Americans there.
The whole buying rounds totally confused me all the time I lived in Glasgow. I still don't master the art of buying rounds cos someone more routined always manages to buy more before I can even react.
So if I'm going to a pub in the future with any boardies, I apologise in advance for being bad at the buying rounds thing! :oP |

Was amazed to see how ppl drank in England - i mean, i'd never seen anything quite like this...
After a while i became too anglicised to notice. |
