Angela's Ashes, oh my god... *sighs* brilliant book, brilliant... ('Tis and Teacher Man as well)
I've just finished "Stardust" by Neil Gaiman and I'm still spellbound ;)
Neil Gaiman? I have't personally read any of his books...though one of my friends is OBSESSED! What does he write? I might read one... |

It was the first Gaiman-Book of my life ;)
But I also know someone who is obsessed with Gaiman-stuff ;) , so I thought I'd give it a try, got "Stardust" and read it in two nights. It's like a (dark) fairy tale for grown-ups.
I think his other books are a little more like "fantasy-horror-tales" ;) ... as if Terry Pratchett decided to become cynical and slightly mean. |

I may read The Memory Keepers Daughter as
A: It's lying in the house
and
B: Reading the back of it seems interesting
I have been told it aint though. |

OMG that book sounds SO sad! I couldn't read it :( I would be crying for days lol
Supposed to be starting Boy In The Stripped Pyjamas :-/ but haven't finish House of Sand and Fog by Andre Dubus yet (it's quite detailed). |

I am glad that there r a few persons who like him in
this Travis site, because he is my country's writer! :)
Haruki Murakami became so popular here (Germany) a few years ago, everyone seems to love his books, but I wasn't "infected" by this virus yet ;) Maybe I'll give them a try? Which one should I read? (I don't like short stories that much, so a real novel would be better ;) )
I'm just about to start "Good Omens" (Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman), just to read something not-that-serious (had to read so many novels for my classes this term...) |
