I was watching the rescue like a normal human being, and then as the last guy came out and the health minister said something like "all 33 are out, and in perfect health" it was like someone turned on my girl switch and I started bawling.
It's crazy to think what they went through. Also crazy is the dude whose wife found out about his mistress while they were at the same vigil. awkward! |

Delighted with the whole business. I was a bit worried about the last guy up, the rescuer. Oh, he didn't turn off the lights!

I think the winner was definitely Sebastián Piñera.
I'm so glad everything work out fine. I really hope what happened brings conscience towards the terrible working conditions of miners everywhere, so this can be reversed. Miners are dying everyday, in Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, wherever. |
