There is no need to go and remake it!. I read they are also doing a remake of the original nightmare on elm street without robert englund. Leave the classics alone |

The remake of Get Carter is on RTE 1 this evening, if anyone is thinking about it, Don't. The Michael Caine film was ground breaking it was a seriously gritty affair which showed the gangsters are not loveable rogues but just bad bastards. The remake puts Stallone in Caine's place as Jack Carter and then rewrites the feckin' story including the end.
Most cringeworthy is when Stallone tells Caine (who agreed to be in this piece of loose stool water) "You're a big man but you're out of shape", "I do this for a living" a line that Caine himself dekivers in th original.
