Okay okay, I gave up on my dreams of making it to the Olympics when I was about 12 and stopped growing and realized that I was never good enough to begin with BUT there is a contest right now in which the prize is a trip to the Vancouver Olympics.
The theme is..Hey Canada, what are you made of? (which is HBC's whole marketing strategy. They do the Canadian olympic merch).

Most of you have seen this photo before. It's this one...
It takes a quick sign up (name, email, password) and then you can vote once a day. Top 10 vote getters in each category (pic, video, writen) go to a judged portion.
I would really really really appreciate if you voted for me! And often. Seriously, no one is more Canadian than me. I use u's a lot, wear toques, play hockey, say sorry, go to Tim Hortons and like mooses.

Yes I genuinely like it too. I looked at a few more entries. There are way too many of kids. I hope those sappy my kid is so cute ones don't make it through.
Wow I sound so bitter and anti-kid but I don't like when a pic of a cute kids wins a contest that should be about the art of photography. |

ya im kinda confused because none of them actually seem to be the proper theme. They are all random snap shots. Or maybe I am the one way off base. Last time I did them they were much more...landscapes and prettiness and artsy stuff.

It's still early and I dont even know that its been advertised. I just stumbled upon it so maybe there will be more/better stuff soon. Although, that might lower my chances, so NO! |
