WOW!!! Just WOW!! It looks so good!! Now that we got a peak of the action, I'm beyond impressed (if that's even possible!)
Plus, when you come to think about it, you had so little time to make it happen, from scratch!
BTW, it's so cool to hear that the community supported the play, young talent needs to be more appreciated, everywhere.
Leti, you're not alone, haha! I thought the exact same thing :P If I remember correctly, we were introduced on FB when Nora posted the flyer.
PS: I'm so intrigued by that argument between J and Fate! I bet I would cry my eyes out seeing this play!! |

As I remember correctly one guy (!!!!) did actually cry. Think it was either at "Sarah" (after J. died and she's so crushed that she turns to drinking) or at "Before you were young" at the end, when J. gets to say goodbye to his son but then has to "move on".
I was pretty surprised. Of course it's sad - it's a drama. But...thaaaaaaat sad? :)
And yes: We're very grateful for the money and for the appretiation.
It's also cool to see ppl's face-reaction to the songs. Not many knew Travis and if they only knew songs like Sing. So that's our encore. But it was a very cool way to get them to buy Travis-CDs and get them to listen to the music. For the choir it was kinda a must-do to learn the lyrics and their lines....but also some friends of the audience "switched sides". |

Not the video though. When I'm done cutting I may upload it on youtube. But that's not gonna happen any day soon. |

Hahhahah noooooo way. I don't have one...yet. Will meet him again tomorrow. We got a math problem from our teacher to solve. Now we've got a bet going. The one who solves it first can make the other do whatever he/she wants to. So far none of us won. Buuuuuuuut I already know what I'd make him do if I win...I just have to win...I'm soooooo darn close..
Last show was pretty screwed up. Lots of mistakes, lots of improvisations. But that kinda made it funny. We in the band had sooooooooooo much fun....like playing something totally new - without telling the conductor (alone for his face to see...FUN!!!)
It was GREAT that way at least.
My camera though - which was filming, didn't catch any of that. Sadly. Because of the light it only caught the play and the choir and the conductors but not the band. You can hear us though...laughing sometimes...

So tomorrow night is our very last show. Not just our last one of Ode to J.Smith. We all decided that it's a good way to quit business and get on with our lifes...
It's been 9 years and 9 concerts or shows for me. Massive....
Started out to be in the choir. And now I'm responsible for all that's slightly to do with music. Feels weird to give up all this. But..Imagine how much time I will have :) :) :)
Will miss it though. |
