Did you know that bullets can only travel 2.5m through water, which is 50% less far than through solid oak. So if you're escaping from a mad gunman, go swimming.
There's a french law voted in 1800 and still in force (!) which says that women are not allowed to wear trousers unless they're riding a bike or a horse!
Of course this has become obsolete but it's kinda funny/weird to think this law still exists somewhere in an old book...
