Ode Sound Quality?

I got my first physical copy of Ode the other day, yeaaaah! :) (I bought a digital version first)

Well I just had a listen to it and found myself mixtering with the equalizer all of the time, trying to make it sound better.
I don't know what it is, but the first half of the record sounds pretty messy and the sound quality varies from song to song. There's also a clicking sound between the songs which I find quite annoying.
I got quite disapointed with the sound quality, cause I really love these songs =(
My question is, do I have a bad copy of the record or is this the bands intention?
However it's pretty strange, cause the record sounds much better on my computer! Maybe I should continue listening to my digital copy...

What do you guys think about it?

Cheers!

I remember a Mexican (I think) fan starting a thread about this. I definitely remember him complaining about the clicks. Sounds like you got a bum copy.

Yeah you're probably right.. Where do they come from?
Do you think I can change it and expect a good one in return if I've bought it online?

Yep, that's a bad copy, try taking/sending it back and getting a replacement. You can get copies here for a couple of quid on eBay, so importing a British copy might be the best way as none of our copies have the weird clicks and sound quality problems.

Yeah,

I seem to remember a couple of people complaining about the same thing.

I certainly don't have those noises on my copy.

Don't they think other parts of the world deserve the same quality? Hehe!

I'll try and contact the webshop that I bought it from tomorrow.

as far as I know they did sell it earlier than it was supposed to - and they bought it from the black market, right?

So it was badly ripped, I guess...where did you buy ur record from?

Woot? Do you think that some stores have bought their copies from the black market? That's a pretty serious accusation! :P

I bought my copy from a Swedish online-store called "Ginza".

If my memory serves me right, some Finns had trouble with the quality, too. They got theirs from a local record shop. MIne is a pre-ordered UK version, and there's no problem.
