Most of those pics are just creepy. Especially of the weirdo holding the baby. |

I think I may have posted about this in the fall, but there is some weird subculture group in my neighborhood--I don't know how to classify them, other than by calling them "Formals." I see them at the high school every so often. It is a group of boys who wears long coats and top hats. They shake hands when they meet and as they walk along, they tip their hats to people walking in the opposite direction. It freaks me out.
Is this some fad that I have missed, or is this a local phenomenon? |

I think it's the latter. No one in my neighborhood's doing that... |

Maybe it's a new trend soon to be sweeping the nation. |

UGH. I forgot about the hipsters flocking to The Shins gig tonight. Are the hipsters still listening to The Shins??
Update: Hipster count was very low tonight, or maybe I didn't notice more of them because the gig was very good. LOL. The Shins, however, were definitely better than last time I saw them! |

Agreed it's a bit strange but I suppose they could be doing a lot worse things...

Oh Dee...that is so perfect. I am in hipster hating heaven right now.
Kayte, the Formals sounds really weird but I am glad they are finding a fun harmless way to express themselves. |

Oh, that is wonderful!!!
Kayte, I remember you mentioning the Formals. So strange!! Next time I'm in AP, you'll have to point them out to me. |

Haha, that's so funny!! But I guess it's not as bad as finding floggers or emos everywhere you look whenever you go to the mall (their chosen place of gathering)
*rolls eyes*
It's plain ridiculous!
When I was younger (love using that line), there weren't as many groups, you had gothics or punks, that was it...the rest were ordinary looking people like me. Well, years before that my big sister went through a grunge phase...I suppose all teenagers have image and identity issues, it's healthy to exorcise them. I'm beginning to think that I didn't have a fully adolescence experience just because I wasn't part of any of those groups, though I might join an indie one after reading this :D

Yes. It also means Associated Press in my world. However, I speak of the city of Allen Park. :) |
