Dissertation guide says people who have aided and support you throughout it. So would it be appropriate it dedicate it to someone?
I really need to go to bed, I was gonna do the dishes but did my dissertation instead eeeek! |

I've seen doctoral theses dedicated to someone, don't know about disserations. Is it going to be in a proper book format (printed and all)? I think books are more often dedicated to people than piles of prints. |

I am only familiar with master's thesis and PhD dissertation, if you are referring to something else I have no idea. But, especially in the case of a PhD dissertation you can dedicate it to someone and acknowledge your advisors, friends who helped you and committee members in your acknowledgements.
