Thanks for this. I like Tori a lot, though I haven't bought her last few albums.
If you like Tori you might like this cover I discovered last week.

I thought nobody would try to read this post before I put it right actually! ;)
Anyway, you have your answer: it's a real new album

Thanx for the link. I actually knew their cover of her song "Dragon" and it's great cause pretty different from the original song... and it's the only time I've heard a song by Tori without any piano in it!

Hmm, have to think about it.
I used to be a big fan of hers, but somehow got bored/grew out/whatever. Never really got into her last album. |

I'm a big big fan of Tori but I think she really should try to make a record with less than 15 songs! 23 on the last one, 19 on the one before: I don't find the words to explain what I feel but the last 2 records were way too dense somehow, there were too many things to take in. After the 12 first songs I was like "ok, I need a break" (especially with The Beekeeper).
I do think that even if a record is good, 20 songs is too much. But she's the boss, she does what she likes with her albums! Ha ha!
Another song from the new album: Fire To Your Plain (To me, this one sounds a bit like some bad 90's Madonna stuff...) |

(Really not a big fan of this, I can even say that I don't like it at all although I do love the song...) |

Anybody's listened/bought/downloaded the new album??
I personally find it great (better than American Doll Posse for me) and although it's quite long, I can listen to the whole album without having a break in the middle of it! To me, each song has a strong personality, there's no kind of "vagueness"...
Anyway, just in case some of you would be interested in attending some Tori Amos gig, her "Sinful Attraction Tour" in North America will begin on July 10th. As far as Europe is concerned, a lot of dates are already available. First of them: sept. 6th in Manchester.
I can't wait for her date in Paris in october: I'll go to this gig with my best friend and I know it's gonna be a big moment for the both of us since it will be our first Tori's gig and we are both big fans! |
