I would like say thanks to dougie for songs as "know Nothing" , " Ring out the bell" , " just the faces change".
But my favorite dougie´s song is "I forget my name" ....It´s a great song and must be including in the next TRAVIS´ album.

Dougie writes great songs, and i think he's getting better. :) He isn't Fran Healy... yet, but he's good and fully deserves to have some of his own written songs on the albums now. :)
I think my favourite Dougie song is Enemy. THAT is a great song. :) |

Oh yes....Enemy ..the guitar intro..and the chorus....AMAZING - in balance to the verse...
I really like Distance and I forget my name - too though. Distance because of verse (in each song - better than the chorus imho) and the bass & guitar lines..
I also like the lyrics of these 3 songs.
The whole theme about "the Distance" - of course and in "I forget my name": "they say if you hate yourself you like yourself enough...to be a hater"
He's not Fran,...that's right - and that's good so. Fran's an amazing voice, and an amazing talent to write the best songs ever. But I really love Dougies - too and wouldn't want them to trade places - it's just perfect that way. Distance or Enemy wouldn't be these songs with Frans or another voice...I love this slightly dusty voice...mysterious..kinda..

Some have been discussed, some haven't. I think that's a full list now, but there's bound to be one that he co-wrote or something similarly awkward. :)
The Distance and Ring Out The Bell are both brilliant songs. Love Colder. Chords progression in Something Anything is as good as they've ever done. Dougie can certainly write. |

Sorry for interupting your Dougie-praising, but Don't Be Shy is a cover, mr Cat Stevens wrote it. But maybe you meen that Dougie has lead-vocals on that track? ;)

| He co-wrote Something Anything, Long Way Down, Last Words and Get Up with Fran. He co-wrote Quite Free with Fran and Andy. Has any other album track been written by 3 of them? If Quite Free is anything to go by, they should do it more often!!! :) |
