I Came in Through the Bathroom Window Posted Thu 12 Feb, 2009 12:30 AM |
Hello, I hope there's a norwegian boardie around here!
I need some help with a Norwegian lullaby's lyrics.
Well, I don't know if it's a lullaby, but that's what I've been told. It's called "Sulla". Does anyone know it?
I'm looking for the lyrics and I'd like to know their meaning too. But I can't find anything!
I hope someone can help me. Thanks in advance! :o) |

It's the one you sent me on Facebook (thank youuuu!):

But according to my coach's book, it said other things besides "sulla lulla". |

the question is...why are you singing norwegian lullabies? :S
(you're welcome!) |

Ek Juli,
Your singing coach expects an awful lot of you! Singing in another crazy hard language! lol |

I'll see what I can do Juli!
I'm not from Norway, but since it's my neighbour-country it might be easier for me, than it is for you, to find something :) |

Is this it?
Sulla meg litt, du mamma mi,
skal du få snor til trøya di.
Vil du ha gule?
Vil du ha blå?
Vil du ha blanke,
skal du det få på trøya di,
du mamma mi |

Thanks!!!
I think it's not that one...
I just know the notes, and that it says "Sulla lulla" twice :oS.
Su - Lla - Lu - Lla
D - A - C - A
Su - Lla - Lu - Lla
G - E - F - D
[I don't know what it says here]
A - F - E - C
[I don't know what it says here]
D - D
The chords are D minor and C.
But don't worry, I'll just practice singing with no words :oP
Thank you, guys!!!
Wendy, I don't know a single word in norwegian, let alone norwegian pronunciation, so what I sing probably doesn't qualify as norwegian at all xD. |

Can this be it Juli? I wont give up that easy ;)
Sulla, lulla, sulla, lulla, sulla, lulla, leia.
In that case the melody comes from a Swedish christmas song called "Staffan var en stalledräng"

This might be related:
voggesong til Rose
vesla vesla dine augelok er tunge
vesla vesla no er dagen omme
sulla lulla lei
stjerne stjerne no skal du få passe på
måne måne no skal du få våke
sulla lulla lei
vesla vesla no går du til kvile
vesla vesla no skal du få sove
sulla lulla lei |

Haha, you're a committed person, Alex! :oP
Thank you, but I think that's not it. At least, that's not what I sang yesterday xD. I've been trying to remember some of the words and it sounded something like this:
Sulla lulla savne vesle barnet
I don't know if it makes any sense in Norwegian!
It could be "banet" or "sovne"... or something. I can't remember... I googled that but I didn't find anything, so it's probably wrong.
Thanks for your help Alex, but don't worry. I'll find out next wednesday :oP. |

It's probably:
sone = son
or
banet = child
I've been testing these two options, but I can't find any lyrics...Hmmm, don't worry I'll find it, don't have anything better to do right now ;) |

I'll have to continue tommorow though, I find this very interesting ;)
And it should be "barnet" I think, same as in Swedish :) |
