well I think composing is a one - man -thing. Than coming to the studio working/changing things -mixing - that's what goes together again - :) would be funny to see all the different demo-versions ;) before becoming One song - One record...
Other question we don't have a producer nor a....whatever work Nigel's doing...(yeah what exactly is he doing? mixing...? Fran said once he did a great job on "closer" what was that job?)

totally out of the blue:
Is it possible to record a song without even being "close" to each other? ;) I mean - for each song:
one's got the idea of the song (the start, the melody etc.), then sends it - next: each one adds something, guitar, leadguitar, bass, drumms, bvs ;) - just in theory of course :)
