Where are you finding all these tracklistings (back covers) from? Some of those live sets are up on themanwho's site.

Just googling, pretty interesting, isn't it?

Released in Austria, pretty cool. The last one looks really epic!

I've seen a few of the second one on eBay, it's not that rare but I'm not sure exactly what it's for. The first is obviously a GF promo, not uber-rare but they're not lying around everywhere either.

Btw, you're good at googling :)

Wow! Were they expensive? This Funny thing mix, is it the Tim Simon version?

Apparently there are a lot of promos floating around, is there really a market for them? Are they worth anything? More than sentimental value of course ;)

Every single has a promo, they're not worth that much except if they're rare. I'm sure some people here have all the promos since ever and a lot more besides, but I just buy the singles personally.

I'm actually not that familiar with promos!
Are they sent to radio stations, or what is the use?
Which Travis promos are considered being rare?

For what it's worth, here's a list of promos I've compiled over at travis.ography:

This is my holy grail (currently). I would love to own this:

The Cage Promo
http://travis.ography.co.uk/release_details.php?id=326;

http://travis.ography.co.uk/release_images/travis/the_cage_promo_cover.jpg

I guess The Cage was set to be the fourth single off of The Invisible Band. At least at some point it seems like that was the idea.

Wow. I thought Follow The Light was set to be the 4th. I'm probably totally wrong of course. lol I LOVE The Cage, it would have made a wonderful single. Might have meant some live playings of it now too if it had been released as a single.

Well, actually i collect promos, and i think is more important sentimental value than money. And is so strange because i have not promos signed by Travis, just singles and vinyls, but considering i bought them some months later.
Personally i love my cardsleeve promos:

No, I don't think so. The reason it's listed first on that page is that I don't have specific dates for most of the releases. So if you'll notice, it says "1997," which means that it came out in 1997 at some point. There are many more promos that were released in 1997, but I have no way of knowing specifically when. It's one of the earliest promos, to be sure, but there's no way to tell if it was the first. The database just happens to sort that list a certain way, pushing Five Good Feelings to the bottom. The order is arbitrary. I hope that makes sense.

Hehe that may be because "The Band Who Are" is probably a bootleg...

I found this:

MAybe you ´re right, but i think exist much more promos than travisography shows, i have some ones and dont exist in travisography.

The reallity is that all promos are jewels, and we should trust in that

I would like to have those promos, think they're really cool in their simplicity!

The Band Who Are is a very weird record...It seems to be a bootleg, but it has been sold as a normal release and has a different cover in Sweden!
It also has some missprintings on the back! She's So Strange = The Fear and Love/Luv = Good Day To Die ;)
But I'm SO glad I have it, some very great live tracks on it! =)
