My mother didn't tell me for years what puddings were made of, when I found out I stopped eating them (and am now a vegetarian)! Apparently black puddings aren't made out of blood, only the white puddings. Someone I know was talking about them recently which is why i know that, I didn't just google it! |

errr. I just had to listen to the audio-file-thingy on merriam-webster.com - do Americans really write & pronounce "aluminium" without the second i?? wow... I mean, they never teach us interesting things at school, really. just the o/ou and ize/ise etc etc... ;) |

Apparently "aluminum" came before "aluminium"... I thought it would be the other way around :| |

Hm, I guess American English is in many cases "original English", because the language in England was so much influenced by French etc... |

MaZn it's not like all people in the US speak the same . I like have a hard time understanding some regions . |

Yes, for instance, people in Michigan pronounced the Z in maZn, but in California the Z is silent. |
