Before you were young is a breathtaking song.
Been listening all the tracks in preview each following other...it's all big and massive and so moving and refined. |

Chinese Blues 9/10 - sounds fantastic
J.Smith 7/10 - interesting but I'm not a huge fan
Something Anything 8/10 - has grown on me a lot
Long Way Down 8/10 - infectious
Broken Mirror 6/10 - just going off the sample, forgettable.
Last Words 9/10 - bowled me over, sounds like a classic
Quite Free 8/10 - quite happy, upbeat, catchy
Get Up 6/10 - know I'm not a great fan of this one, sorry.
Friends 9/10 - love it.
Song to Self 10/10 - best thing they've recorded for years
Before You Were Young 10/10 - stunning, Slide Show/HDLS type finale, but better.
That's me going off the samples. |

The link doesn't seem to work any more! It just takes you to the 7 Music Travis page :( |

Sounds promising, I'm gonna wait until I hear the whole album before I comment tho. 'Song To Self', in my opinion is one of the best Travis songs ever recorded! :-D I love the Beatles sounding strings that come in and out on the chorus, really nice touch! |

The album version must be massively improved over the live version for it to be a top 30 Travis song let alone the 'best song ever'. I look forward to hearing it! :) |

When listening to the samples 'Broken Mirrors' didn't really stand out for me. I can't really judge tho because I've only heard 1 minute of it. I'll wait until I hear the whole song. |

Nothing to worry about it. Seems that not many of boardies fancy this lovely melancholy blusey sounds, but I support Broken Mirror. It's just a short sampling but enough to give me zero gravity which Paperclips does. Gonna love it. :) |
