¡Muy merecidamente ganado por España! Yo igual valoro mucho la campaña argentina: jugaron mucho mejor de lo que yo esperaba. Más allá de Messi (que es básicamente inigualable y de otro planeta -¡39 años!), destaco el gran mundial que tuvo Paredes (aunque no en la final), y en la final, a Tagliafico, que lo dio todo y pudo controlar súper bien a Lamine Yamal.

Por otra parte, coincido con quienes dicen que fue una desgracia el show de medio tiempo. No por los artistas en sí, sino porque realmente es algo que nada tiene que ver con el fútbol y que no sumó nada en absoluto. Como hincha de fútbol, espero que no se repita nunca más, jaja.

Aw, so cute!

I’m a teacher too, at uni, so slightly older crowd (mostly 20/21 years old). I love it so much. I teach history of architecture. We are currently studying the architecture of ancient Greece and Rome, focusing in particular on how notions of ethos or civitas were embodied in architecture and how architecture itself fostered those senses of belonging. In turn, the idea is for students to find resonances, territorial echoes of that link between these notions of public life and architecture in a contemporary building or urban space in Buenos Aires. So today we’ll be working on preparing field guides so that they can go out on urban walks. 🙂

Not a film but a mini series: Mussolini: Son of the Century. Directed by Joe Wright (brilliant), starring Luca Marinelli (superb performance), music score by Tom Rowlands of The Chemical Brothers (perfectly fitting, it contributes to build that Futurism atmosphere). It’s utterly amazing, probably the best thing I’ve watched in the last decade or so.

I love football! I’m a huge Boca Juniors fan. However, I’m not as excited for this World Cup as I’ve been for the others, tbh. I’m from Argentina and things are very bad in our country, and our players (though excellent players as they are) have not really been up to many people’s expectations as role models… We sadly and greatly miss our Diego Maradona.

Anyhow, all that said, I’m in a couple of football pools with different groups of friends, and the prize in one of them is 1 kg of gelato, so I’m eager to win! My bet is on Spain this time around. 😉
