Obviously apart from our beloved Travis! I want to thank you guys for introducing Hamish Hawk to me as I am a die hard fan now and seen him couple of times, he is such a sweetheart and a great artist and poet.
I can’t wait to listen to the Cure live end of this month in Roskilde. and I wish for more Oasis shows
BUT I WANT and NEED more Travis shows reallllly soon

I really like The Cure and Ride, and I think Ride is underrated.

Never listed to Ride. I will give it a try!

Ride’s three albums from 1990, 1992, and 1994 are all brilliant — and so is the first half of their 2024 album Interplay.😉

Dreams burn down,OX4,Light in a quiet room.
I think the first two albums are still best listened to in full.😼

Most of the bands I listen to are relatively new. Before Travis, my favorite band was Arctic Monkeys. I also listen to some progressive metalcore — I highly recommend a German band called Unprocessed. Sadly, I missed their live show last year. Also, let me recommend a Chinese math rock band called Fayzz. Their new album Patch is really good!

I loved Hamish Hawk’s set before the Hydro gig, been listening to him quite a bit since. Oasis Live 25 was amazing, was lucky to go to 2 shows and still wanted more haha.

Other than them, I’ve been listening to a lot of Kneecap, Fontaines DC, Pulp, The Hives, Cast, Stereophonics, The Smiths, Garbage, Blossoms, Cast, The Chats, The Verve / Richard Ashcroft…

I knoooow that you saw Oasis two times and I mayyyybe a bit jealous 😀
If not for Morrissey I would listen to more the Smiths but since I am a The Cure fan I cannot 😉 but I like the other bands you mentioned especially Pulp

I totally get that… it’s a “separate the art from the artist” situation for me I suppose.

Have you seen Pulp live before? I saw Jarvis solo years ago, and saw Pulp for the first time just last year. Definitely one of the best shows I’ve ever been to, what a showman he is!

though there are several the Smiths songs I like 😀
unfortunately I have not seen Pulp live ”yet” but from the videos I have seen Jarvis energy is amazing

Among my best friends on the planet have been this Italian doom metal band UFOMAMMUT . I listen to them often along side with The Beatles , Teenage Fanclub , The Black Angels , The La’s , Dead Meadow and Godspeed You Black Emperors

If I’m not listening to Phil Keaggy or Glass Harp then it’s either Travis or John Van Deusen – with a little Sufjan and The Shins mixed in

My daughter is into late 70s/early 80s alt/ post punk/ goth/ new wave stuff so I’m currently listening to an eclectic mix of bands I missed the first time around when I was too young to appreciate anything that wasn’t straight-down-the-line pop music! We’re seeing The Cure in August – super excited!

Hey Jules. Post punk and goth means the Cure!! which show are you going to?

      I love this question!

Apart of Travis, I love other bands like Bôa, Jamiroquai, Coldplay, Oasis, Keane, The Killers… and more.

Fun fact: I discovered Travis because of a friend recommendation: “If you love Coldplay, you will with Travis” At first I couldn’t get in because I had my doubts but it wasn’t until a few years ago when I had a Keane playlist on Spotify and then, my playlist showed Pipe Dreams and the rest is history🥰.

ooh you have a good taste in music Diana (well you love Travis so no surprise) I think we love British bands 😀 and Pipe Dreams both lyrics and tune-wise wonderful.

I love your taste, Diana. I got into Travis partly because I already loved bands like Coldplay and Keane. Also, I love the Killers so when I found out that Chris Martin and Brandon Flowers were singing backup on Raze The Bar, I was so happy.

I went to see Ben Kweller at King Tuts last week and it was amazing! I’ve loved him for years but his last album is something really special, particularly given that it came out of personal tragedy. He said at the gig that, after losing his son, he thought that music had left him forever and was never coming back after, but music has actually helped to save him and keep him going. I’m really in awe of how brave he is and also how talented!

The Beatles, Melanie C, The Coral
I listen, and if I like it, I keep listening. Regardless of the year and style, not every band will easily win me over. I also like music with a psychedelic vibe.

Live at shows by punk/crustpunk bands, local bands, and DJs who play vinyl, goth djs too, different bands and strange sounds that I would never imagine listening to, because I like the people who go there and the crowd.
