When I saw them in concert in Milan last summer, they said, “See you very soon with new songs!” (or something like that)…then I saw they’ve started playing concerts around the world…and I really think it’s true that we’ll be able to see and hear them very soon with new songs. I can’t wait!!

Well, I had a dream where one of the new songs is called Flames.🔥 Another called Bob’s Your Uncle.😄 And don’t ask why @dougie had on a white Elvis jumpsuit lol.
Alongside what will be some new classics, hopefully the new record will be sprinkled with a bit of edge, in the vein of LA Times and Beautiful Occupation. -
10 tracks. I wouldn’t want to guess or hope more than that – might ruin the beautiful surprise new albums become.

If this is JFF, then my prediction is an angry, call-out record. Or a band/friendship/mates appreciation record. Either way, it’ll be a resilient record. Of course, I have no idea and I’m so excited for whatever it is! Maybe it’ll be celebratory? Or defiant? Or maybe, and this would be cool, an entire record with culturally significant songs that are more direct like LA TIMES – or maybe even more direct than that??? It’s possible I’m predicting an angry record just because I’m angry and it seems there are so few places that are safe to express anger. I’m an American, and we’re always supposed to be “fine,” even though most of us are not “fine.” – so I’m craving an angry record.
