Just wanted to give a big shout out to Dougie for his children’s books- Poochie Pete. Our household love it.

I’m a huge fan of the bands music- The Man who was an album I listened to when a was young and it reminds me of my Dad picking me up for the weekend. So it’s incredibly uplifting to have a children’s story I can share with my little boy ❤️
    Such a nostalgic feeling.

Anyone else purchased it for their children and enjoyed sharing a little bit of Travis with the next generation?

Yes, I purchased it and it’s adorable. I loved it. My kids are a bit older (teenagers) but we all got a kick out of it. 💜

My little girl is 4, she’s non-english speaker but she loves when I read it to her, somehow she’s picking new vocabulary up, and she loves the illustrations. As for me, it’s so good to see all the references to the band in the drawings.

@big_chair I live in Mexico, and I bought it from Amazon, maybe you can find it there.

I’ve written and self published my own children’s picture books. A series of three. I would love to get some insight from Dougie about how to navigate the world of self publishing. The email we all received inviting us back to the board made a point of telling us not to ask for anything or we’d be banned. So I’m not sure if this is acceptable as it’s not about the music but rather one self published author seeking the advice of another. If anyone is interested it’s Allieskye.com. A trilogy of picture books that explores and celebrates Scottish, Italian and Australian families separated by migration but also how they are brought together again. ❤️

I live in the United States and bought it online from Portobello Bookshop in Edinburgh. It came and was signed by both Dougie and Rachel Seago (illustrator).

Sweet story, charming illustrations. 10/10 Highly recommend.
