Message Board › TRAVIS › Ode To J Smith order
Hi everyone!
I remember years ago when Ode came out Fran mentioning that the order of the songs was mixed in the final album and that, if correct, it forms a cohesive story.
Did we ever figure out what the correct order was?
Is this something my brain made up or is it actually true?
I absolutely remember that being said too, yeah! What I can’t remember is if we ever figured the order out. Makes for a fun extra way to think about the album though!
Oh thank god I’m not the only one remembering that!
I don’t think we ever figured out the order, but there were a bunch of us throwing theories out there and it was definitely fun!
Maybe we could try again now that the board is back?
You’re right my dear Sirius! Fran told us!
I need to listen again and find some of my old notebooks, I’m sure we had written an order
Isnt it supposed to be a su!cideal story backwards? I remember hearing that somewhere
This album is amazing!!! Finally someone likes that album
I remember that in an interview they said that Chinese Blues and Before You Were Young were the only ones that should be played in their respective order; the other songs could be played in different orders depending on the person’s taste.
Yes whoever knows please share!
This is easily their most underrated record, but it’s in my Top 5.
