The Travis forum is back. Wahoooo!!! Greetings from the west of Ireland everyone. Was telling my husband only yesterday about the Cois fharraige festival in Kilkee back in 2008 when Andy climbed up the rigging. What a gig. It was soooo amazing to meet you after. Any upcoming gigs planned for UK or Ireland. We will travel!!!

Wow, this is a blast from the past. I was a boardie I think circa 1999, and made a few friends. I made friends with a few other boardies internationally over the years, but have since lost touch. I hope they makes an appearance here again at some point! Looking forward to meeting and talking with you all.

When I saw Travis in January a really drunk mature woman was trying to make advances on me after they started singing Bay One More time. I looked over at security & not long after they evicted the woman from the concert, can actually hear me trying to tell her no cuz I was recording the song…

I’m always amazed to see fights break out in a Travis audience. Always alcohol related. Always to do with one person telling someone else to shut up or put their phone away. I was at the Belle and Sebastian show on Friday and Saturday this week in LA at the Hollywood Palladium. On the Saturday we were standing and 2 couples came in and shouted loudly at each other throughout the first half of the set. I eventually turned around and told them I knew the band and if they wanted, I could go and ask the sound guy to turn it down a bit so they could hear themselves better. One of them got fighty but his girlfriend tamped it out and they went elsewhere.

So I thought I’d pop back on. I used to be super regular from 2001 until I can’t remember when. Maybe when I went to uni or when the board was taken down.
I’m using the same name I did back then – cosmic but I started out using U16 Baby I think… anyway, I’ve not long turned 40. I still quietly follow the band but haven’t really kept up either. Love all the albums from the early days.
But wanted to pop back on and say hello just incase there was anyone from back then who came back on.-

Great to see the Travis Messageboard back in operation, I’ve just signed back up as gladsadmad, the one that I had for years. It’s a shame all of the old board has gone, but good to see it is back up and running again. Many hours were spent there back in the day. Now we have to recreate the whole community again. Great to see new band posts I’ll have to catch up, maybe it hints of a new album soon? 👋🙂

Travis fan since “Good Feeling” and was at the gig at the SECC many moons ago where Oasis supported Travis 🤣 and threw the toys out of the pram and walked off. Thank goodness Travis were on first!
