Hi, I think this album sometimes goes unnoticed, especially its B-sides. I’d like to know your opinion on this era of the band.

Them were some pretty cool years it seems. I was merely a few years old back then but The interview they did with Steve Lillywhite a few years ago gave some great insight.
The album is so full of bangers. A good day to die and I love you anyways are my fave tracks.

Said in another thread. Funny Thing is up there with the best tune Fran has written.

Still sounds great. Would only take off Midsummer Nights Dreamin’.

I like Frans rockier voice on this album and also on some of the B-sides. It’s kind of another band, but still it’s not.

Still enjoyable. Would only take off Midsummer Nights Dreamin. Would be interesting if they re-recorded it as live for the 30th anniversary

Love this topic. I got deep into Travis specifically because of Steve Lilywhite, in some ways. I knew him as a producer before I knew Travis, so it piqued my curiosity. I love the flow of the album and listen to I Love You Anyways alllll the time, because I love songs about places and love the imagery of the lyrics.

Aside: Do you think we’ll get a 30th anniversary something or other as I think it’s soon? 👀

Its a good debut. Good Day to Die is my favourite. The version at Glastonbury 2000 was incredible. The Man Who was a huge step up though.
