Jet lag is proper wonky on return from UK. Sometimes I get away with it but most times it takes about 2 weeks to shake it.

Same. It used to be a walk in the park. But I find as the years add up, it takes longer and longer to recover from jetlag. Hydration and exercise help, but not always.

There’s an app called Timeshifter that I used when traveling to Japan. In the days leading up to your flight it tells you when you should/shouldn’t have caffeine, exposure to sunlight, etc, and it shifts your bedtime gradually. Worked really well for me, I was completely fine after a day despite the 13 hour time shift.

Yup I second that! I fly from Oz to UK at least twice a year and this app (plus some melatonin) saves me every time – almost guaranteed I’m on call in Australia for my bit of the hospital when I get back : (.

We traveled to the USA for first time in April…staying on Sanibel Island Florida..
Jet lag was an arse! 😂…but it was worth it.
I’d love to go back to other states….any recommendations? ☺️

I was in Sanibel in April too! Small world 🙂 Gotta go to NYC if you’ve never been.

        Oh wow…what a coincidence!
        Isn’t the Island just beautiful!
We were lucky enough to see Dolphins from our apartment…which was so cool! It made me emotional to be honest…such a special place.

I defo need to explore more states…NYC is on the bucket list for sure. ❤️

Aw that’s so nice! We saw so many birds and reptiles, my husband & daughter found an alligator just chilling in a pond next to the cycle path lol… pedal faster guys!!! 😀 No dolphins this time though!

Omg. I’m guessing alligators aren’t as aggressive as crocs then? Here they steal people out of ankle deep water if you’re in their territory 😱

Oh alligators are for sure dangerous as well, probably not *as* aggressive as crocs but I believe the adage in Florida is to assume any body of water has an alligator or croc in it and to exercise caution 😬

Eek. I saw an image of people in boats – maybe in Florida – with alligators all around the boat and it terrified me! We have huge salties and they have found bits of people in them from time to time. Loads in local rivers. Funny story – talk of having the rowing for Brisbane Olympics 2030 there, despite crocs and being 8 hrs from Brisbane. Might see fastest speeds ever! 😂 🐊

The last time I had jet lag was travelling back from Honeymoon in Barbados. Although the 14-hour delay in Heathrow before our connecting flight to Glasgow was worse than any jet lag or hangover I ever had in my life.

      Not. Fun.

I’ve never experienced jet lag…🤣Hope you’re feeling better soon. Maybe one day a trip to the UK will let me find out what it’s like👻

Yeahhh it’s worse for me every time and I’ve been ping ponging between the UK and USA for decades… guess that’s the problem , “decades” of jet lag correlates with decades of ageing. And well, I don’t have the discipline for all of these techniques out there , so I just embrace a few days of suffering. 😩
