I’ve started to read more. I had a bad accident in November 2024 and couldn’t ride my bike or play guitar (the things I enjoy most!) for months, so I started to read books. I’ve never been ‘good’ at reading. But I enjoy it now, even if it takes me a while.

I like books on music, cycling, espionage and the natural world. My favourites over the past few monthshave been ‘A Sky Full of Kites’ by Tom Bowser, ‘Agent Zigzag’ by Ben MacIntyre and ‘Abbey Road’ by David Hepworth. Coming up next is Paul McCartney’s new book about Wings, ‘How Music Works’ by David Byrne, ‘Double Cross’ by Ben MacIntyre, and ‘Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy’ by John Le Carré.

Who reads? Have you ready any of these? What do you enjoy reading?

Hey Paul! Love a good read. If you love music, you have to read Alex Ross’s “The Rest is Noise”. I believe Andy was the one who recommended it to me. Learned a lot about music from this book.

Funny you brought up “Abbey Road” because that’s the book I’m reading right now. Very insightful read about the history of Abbey Road Studios. For those on the fence, Travis is mentioned in the book! 🙂

On the espionage genre, I just finished “I Am Pilgrim” by Terry Hayes. Fantastic read in a cannot-put-it-down way. If you love espionage give this one a go.

Sounds great! I find Ben MacIntyre books are like that. I’ll add it to my Goodreads list. Thank you 🙂
