Lately, I've been annoyed. Everywhere I look there seems to be celebrities who are celebrities for being... celebrities? Just people who are no talent hacks. This is rant is fueled from a SPIN article I read online last night. It was about Gym Class Heroes. Both of their hits (Clothes Off! and Cupid's Chokehold) both heavily rely on samples. not that I'm against that per se, it's just that if you sample something you better make it fucking fantastic or else what's the point? So anyways in the SPIN article it basically talks about how they smoke pot all the time, how one of the band members had a tryst with a porn star, and how during the interview they were drunk on moonshine. Lovely. Oh and they also mentioned multiple times that the lead singer is with this female try sexual.
Secondly, I'll take this opportunity to say how much I hate Dane Cook. My hatred is rehashed every single time I see a commercial for that new movie he's in. I've lost some respect for Alec Baldwin.
My friends across the pond, who is this Peaches Geldolf I keeping on hearing about exactly? All I know is that she's Bob Geldof's daughter. I have a feeling she fits in this catagory.
So anyone, everyone, please vent with me. Oh and Spencer and Heidi are always fair game :o).

Oh, my god! You need to warn us non-pop-culture savvy people what is under that third link! ;) Sorry, hate that song with a passion, and the girl can't sing live. Mostly because my dad keeps going on about how much he likes that song, and it's highly irritating for various reasons. Bah! I just prefer to stay under my rock as much as possible...I had never even heard of Gym Class Heros before (and I am scared to click on those links now.) ;)

1. LOL that your DAD loves that song. Tee hee hee.
2. You probably have heard them before. Clothes Off is the song that sample's Jermaine Stewart's We Don't Have to Take Our Clothes Off which I love by the way. And the other song is that song that samples that line, "Take a look at my girlfriend she's the only one I got." I don't remember which song it originally came from. Both songs have that dude from Fall Out Boy as the guest vocalist. Hmmmm :/.

I'm sorry I don't like the Decemberists! I know I should, but I can't do it. I'm not going to hate on them or anything, they just don't tickle my fancy :D. (and now I have The Perfect Crime #2 in my head because it was on the radio today. :( !) |

I saw Hot Hot Heat a few years ago! Thankfully Metric and Vue were opening for them at the time. :D |

I've seen Hot Hot Heat too! They opened for Snow Patrol last year. I only know 3 of their songs. They were alright, I guess.
Next week I'm going to see The Wombats for free. Yas!

Alleged. Haha. It was more of a group thing at UCSD...roomie/suite bonding type situation the first week of school. Funnily enough two of the girls in my suite completely stopped talking to EVERYONE else for the rest of the school year. |
