Has anybody seen the movie called "Once"?

Good story with brilliant music. Many of the melodies reminds me Travis sound. Especially song "When you mind's made up".

Never heard of it but according to the amazing imdb.com, its very good. Score of 8.1. Not many films get into the 8s on there.

I really liked this film and was especially surprised by how well they pulled it off on such a small budget and with two musicians acting for the first time. It's worth seeing for sure.

Not wowed by that song at all though. Bit boring I think. I can't judge the film though because I don't know anything about it.

That is one of my favorites from the movie. I love how it so perfectly fits the mood of the scene. It starts off all mellow and quiet when the guy recording really doesn't want to be there, but then as it progresses it gets more energetic and the guy recording gets into it. Ahhh I love that part. And then at the end when it gets softer again Glen and Mar exchange one of their looks so if to say "shiiitttt we can actually do this."
So yes, I've seen the movie and I loved it. I would highly recommend seeing The Swell Season live if one gets the chance.

The actors are a real life couple too.

Really?! I didn't know that. I knew they were musicians and the guy is from The Frames...but didn't know they were really a couple.

They just became a couple when they were shooting the film. However the guy already knew the girl. The Frames was touring in Czech and they had a contact with her father somehow, so they met and started play music together. Marketa was 13 years old that time and she was 18 during the shooting.

I'm just curious, do you see any similarity to Travis's tune? I had this impression when I seen the movie first, and listening the soundtrack, it's just stucked in my mind...

Love the movie, love the music. Actually just them, as The Swell Season, in concert a week ago. Fantastic stuff.
