So, I went to Starbucks today to get some tea for the cold I am currently fighting. I check out my cup when I get to the dorm and I notice that the "The Way I See It," quote on the back is from Oliver Sacks! For those of you who don't know (although I can't imagine anyone who doesn't) TRAVIS got the title of their sophomore album, The Man Who, from Sack's book entitled, "The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat."I though I'd share the quote because it's actually pretty nice:
The Way I See It #267
"Music can lift us out of depression or move us to tears - it is a remedy, a tonic, orange juice for the ear. But for many of my neurological patients, music is even more - it can provide access, even when no medication can, to movement, to speech, to life. For them, music is not a luxury, but a necessity."
-- Oliver Sacks
Neurologist and author of The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat and Musicophilia: Tales of Music and the Brain. |

I love that quote. When I had jury duty and they gave us 2 hour lunch breaks and I got really bored I wondered to the library next door and actually read The Man Who Mistook His Wife For a Hat. |

Haha. I forgot about your stint as a jury member. Maybe I should read that in my free time. |
