I don't live in Calgary or Edmonton, but I just found out, two weeks late, that the Travis boys were there. It would have been my closest opportunity to see them for the first time finally after being a fan for many years.
When did the announcement occur?
And I'm signed up to the mailing list, have checked the Myspace...how is it possible that I missed this? I want to find out so that it never happens again.

I just don't know what happened. Why weren't the tour dates posted on Myspace or on this website? Why wasn't a newsletter released with the Canadian dates?
I gather the announcement occurred in September, right after I got back from seeing PY. Were both gigs general admission? If so, even worse as if I only knew even days in advance, I could have made the 9 hour trek.
I feel so low right now. An opportunity I've always dreamed of, missed. |

i'm not sure, maybe the canadian dates were still being added past sept? this site has also been unstable and slow. but don't dispair, the lads said they'll be back next year with a new album! more to look forward to.
btw, i have family in calgary. if i'm ever in your neck of the woods and travis or PY are in town, i'll be ringing you up :-)

| subscribe to the LiveNation newsletter in your area. They usually have the latest concert listings and access to pre-sales as well. That's how I found out Travis were coming to North America with Maximo Park in tow. |
