It took them forever, but the radio station here finally posted two of the songs Travis performed at Midwest Studios in Rochester Hills before their gig in Pontiac, July 18. They posted "My Eyes" and "Sing." Travis actually started the session with "Selfish Jean," but a button on Fran's jean jacket was hitting his guitar and I was told it was really loud on the recording (even though it sounded great live). He took it off for the other songs.
It was the most amazing thing ever to be in such an intimate setting listening to Fran and Dougie! :) I'll never forget it.

Yes thanks Nicki . Always great to hear these special recordings.
Frans voice is becoming as significant to me as JL's . I was in my fav bar last week and WTRY came on as I was leaving and the velvet tones really reach you. Felt like leaving a gig part way through!! |
