I got back from Hamburg yesterday. I didn't think I could go at first because of strikes all across the country but I finally made it after a 16-hour trip and it was totally worth all the trouble. The show was brilliant as always - they never disappoint. Here are some pictures I took there (more to be found here : http://www.flickr.com/photos/11066208@N08/sets/72157602621774274/ ) Sadly, no videos this time as the guards wouldn't let us film. Enjoy anyway!

Yes, I have and it was worth it every time! Now that I'm making my own money I can travel and see them more often than when I was still a student. I had to beg my parents to help me pay for travel and accomodation back then! It's so nice to see your favourite band AND get to visit new places at the same time :) |

wow, those are brilliant pics!! thanks for sharing them with us :)
I'm so excited about tonight, aaahhhh, after FOUR years... can you imagine not seeing your fav band for four years? ;)
Anyway, I won't be able to take high-quality pictures :|(haven't got a digital camera, just my mobile... er... or an old-fashioned SLR ;D) |

WOW! Great pictures! Thank you very much!!!
My camera wasn´t good enough and I was too far away from
the stage.
But who said, that you weren´t allowed to film? I took some
small videos (the quality isn´t very good, but it´s a good possibility to remember the event)and nobody said anything against it.
And you travelled 16 hours to Hamburg?! Why did it take you so long to get there? Was it only because of the strikes?
Altogether I was eight hours on the road to get there and I was totally exhausted afterwards. How long did you need to get back? |

The guard in front of me was watching everyone on the front row and when I tried to film a bit of My Eyes he told me to stop.

I travelled all the way from Lyon and I had to take 3 different trains to get to Hamburg. Two of them got cancelled so I had to take the first train to Paris at 6 am and then wait till 1 pm for a train to Cologne. Luckily I could catch my connecting train to Hamburg on time. There were still strikes when I got back so it took me 14 hours... |

Thanks Nini. I have a Sony DSC T100, it's a point-and-shoot digital camera. |

Ah too bad - but at least you got some awesome pics!
I thought it was allowed to take videos, as long as the band is ok with it. In Manchester Fran told the audience, that it would be all right, when some of the guards told the people not to film.
Ok. Your journey sounds really difficult. But in the end it did pay off, didn´t it! ;)
