Talking with a colleague about a recent hobby i'd taken (cooking) the conversation went as follows :
Fred (me) : I quite enjoy it actually, i'm surprised
X : Oh ! I love cooking, baking...and you know what Fred ?
Fred : What ?
X : The good thing is you can it eat afterwards

Mum phones me up one day and says
Mum: "Paul, we need to get you a suit"
Me: "Oh, why's that?"
Mum: "Cos you're going to a wedding"
Me: "Ah right. Who is it? Angie?" (Angie is my 30-something year old cousin who's been with a guy for about 4 years)
Mum: "No. Your Gran"
The only time i've ever been speechless. What are you meant to say when you're told your Gran is getting married!? lol |

| I train guide dogs for the blind so I am often with dog. I get to take them into buildings and stuff because they wear special jackets that clearly state they are in training. I don't know how many times I have been asked "Are you blind?" Grrrr. No I am not. Anyway how insensitive of a question would that be if I were actually blind? |

Ppl can come up with the most insensitve stuff sometimes.
10 years ago, i suffered from kidney problems and lost a lot of weight, went to the hospital a lot....of course i looked dreadful, really depressed and all that.
Still, there were ppl at work who'd ask "are you anorexic ?"
One of them even had the chutzpah to say she wanted to see my teeth coz "anorexics trow up a lot and gastric acid stains their teeth".
I told her to fuck off. |

and the conversation lasted for about 10 more minutes. I just HAD to listen in... *sighs* wish I hadn't. |
