Fran said at the Atlanta show that they all went bowling the night before and me and friends looked at each other when he said it. We had thought about going bowling that night. Curse you Nintendo Wii sports games! Otherwise, we would have had a chance of going to the same bowling alley and meeting Travis randomly, maybe even buy them a pint or two ;)
I was wondering, thinking about this, has anyone on here met the band members is a non-concert setting? I was wondering how they react. |

I met them at a signing, but i think they were expecting people to show up. And for once, Dougie didn't get a chance to steal anyones pens! haha |

Back in 2000 I was supposed to see them play in Paris. My dad and I visited the city in the morning and around noon my dad suggested we had lunch in this restaurant next to the venue. I wasn't hungry so we started queuing instead and bought sandwiches for later. A couple of hours later, the band came out of that very same restaurant. They'd been having lunch there... |

I was visiting Britain for the first time from Canada. We drove all over and I really wanted to see Glasgow (for obvious reasons) We had one might to spare so I went walking aroung Glasgow by myself I checked out The Horshoe to see where it all began...it was a crazy night because the Rangers and Celts were playing (Rangers won ;) so there was crowds of drunk Scotsmen everywhere...anyway getting on with it. I was walking past McDonalds and at that very moment Neil stepped out right in front of me! I was in complete shock of course. He had his Daughters and a friend with him so I really did'int want to bother him but there was a little ferris wheel in the middle of the street and his girls went on. I walked up and tapped him on the shoulder and we talked for a few mins, his friend took a pic of us, he was so nice and willing to talk. Anyway, that was my random meeting, one in a million I like to think. |

yup my first trip to Glasgow, the only night I was there. I told him that I was joking with my friends earlyer, that I was wondering if I would bump in to one of the guys, he thought that was funny. The funny thing is I had just been in a record store and I was going to buy their singles album, I decided not to because I had seen it cheaper somewhere else...it would have been perfect if I had their cd when I met him, oh well, cant have it all ;).
So to date I have met Neil 3 times and the rest of the guys twice, I love that they are so fan friendly! |
