I tried to convert my friend into a Travis-fan yesterday, so I played all of the singles + Eyes Wide Open, As You Are and a couple of other tracks for him, but he was like: "naaah this is too bloody radio-friendly". So then I moved on to the b-sides and there was nothing he liked until I played High As A Kite. Then all of a sudden he jumped up from his chair, grabbed his guitar and screamed: "THIS IS ACTUALLY REALLY GOOD!!!"
Stupid post, but I find it funny that peoples taste can vary so much! |

Haha. :) Great song it is but why did it take that to grab his attention after all the others? Strange boy he is. ;) |

He's the kind of guy who mostly listens to Iron Maiden, Manowar, Gary Moore, Bon Jovi etc. so I'm pretty proud that I made him likeing a Travis song ;)
Oh he didn't like Something Anything or J. Smith, I thought he would have :( |

Tree hugging...there is more to this than you know.
Discovering Travis with 6 albums to feast on must be a joyous thing :) |

Exactly! Totally agree... I love when people start listening to a band you recommended...and even more if it's Travis... |

Nice work there! It's always fun to turn friends onto Travis fans.
Whenever I say I love Travis, the first thing that ALWAYS comes up is, "Travis who?", and the education begins..... =D |

Haha. I always get...Travis....I think I've heard or him. Or...I've never heard of him. |

Sometimes, people are Travis fans and they don't even know it.
Talking to a friend of mine yesterday and naturally the subject of Travis came up. She said it sounded so familiar but there was one song she listened to college but she couldn't remember what it was. I sang out all the lyrics from all their hit singles and turns out it was 'Side'. Naturally when we got back to my car 'Side' was blasting out of the bodywork. =P |
