Ok, so I must be the most impatient person on this earth, but I have been hoping that Travis might announce at least one date in the UK this summer.
I am sure this is still a possibility, but I am not willing to take the risk (and as I mentioned I am impossibly impatient)and would really love to go to one of the festivals in Europe....either Germany or Switzerland. Would anyone be interested in coming with me??
I realise that this may sound a little desperate....I do actually have friends, but none that would come with me!!!
If anyone would be interested please let me know :)

My name is Luis Alexis. I am from Costa Rica, so it is a very long travel for me, I will be in Germany, on Wernigerode and Halberstadt are situated in the very heart of Germany in the federal state of Saxony-Anhalt at the foot of the Harz Mountains. I won a Scholarship to take a Summer Course in the University Hochschule Hartz, I study biology on the Universidad de Costa Rica. I will be there almost all July. I would love to go with you, we might want to set a meeting point in a centric and/or strategical place (you might know more about these, but I am thinking about Berlin or Hannover).
Do you guys think we should buy the tickets from now? I dont even know how to get there from Wernigerode, but I am definetly sure it will be easy to go to Berlin or Hannover. Any advise will be very welcome !

Hey Luis (...and everyone else who's going)
on the Melt-website they advice if you go there by train you should go to Dessau and NOT directly to Gräfenhainichen and then better take the Bus from Dessau to Ferropolis which goes about 20 min. From friday to sunday there will be also extra busses fitted to the train service.
I'm coming with the train from Stralsund to Berlin Hbf - Berlin Hbf to Dessau in case somebody wants to hop on :)
Oh and just in case somebody don't know yet since the site is in german...One-day tickets will be available from may, too and cost 45 € + advance booking fees.

I will be in Wernigerode (do you know the place?), do you know what might be the best travel option to get to Ferropolis?

I just had another look on the Melt-Festival site and found out that there will be special shuttle services by bus.
Berlin to Ferropolis, too for only 19 €.
That's even cheaper than the train ticket from Berlin to Dessau so I think I will prefer that offer yet.
I think you should just take the train from Wernigerode to Dessau (about 20 €) and the Bus from Dessau to Ferropolis (3,10 €) since you are in Sachsen-Anhalt already...should be the cheapest and easiest way for you but I can't tell you for sure if there's any other cheaper way, sorry.
Anyway, we can meet directly at the Festival then, ok? We'll keep in touch... :)

Puff... troubles. And now imagine, i come from Bonn/Köln, so far away. That is the why i was thinking about to attend Melt or Gurten because last one is closer. But like is summer i´ll attend both, at least is easier from Köln to Berlin and then Ferropolis. But exactly i dunno the train prices because in DB doesn´t display yet.

yes, I will buy a one day ticket only i think. I would like to see Kasabian, too but they play on sunday yet...would come about 100 €, that's just too fat!

Yes, a one-day ticket is the cheapest ticket. You can't buy tickets for only one band on a festival, sorry.
You will take about 2 hours and 20 min. from Wernigerode to Dessau and another 20 min. by bus from Dessau to Ferropolis. Good Luck! See you... :)
