Global Recession ??

There is a "mini" budget today in Ireland to deal with fall out from the recession.

I was wondering what other people thought of the whole thing.

Personaly I'm getting a bit fucked off by the whole thing, various groups of employees in Ireland have been marching and threatening strike action for the past few months now and to be honest they can all fuck off, Taxi Drivers for instance are saying there are too many cabs on the road and they an't make the same wage they used to, boo-fucking-hoo perhaps if you hadn't been raping the country and bleeding it's citizens for the past 8 years during the boom times I would have a bit more sympathy. You can't make any money cause you don't want to have to work for it, try getting a taxi at 3am on Dame Street. You chose to be a taxi driver perhaps if you wanted a 9 to 5, Mon-Fri position you should have chosen a different career path.

There are lots of others, who fail to realise this is a recession EVERYONE is affected not just particular groups, I haven't worked since September be thankful you have a fucking job. I do feel slightly sorry for people who's homes are now worth half what they paid for them but again You have your own home!!! the recession will not last forever and whatever way you see it it is still an investment.

So in conclusion everyone is in the shit, stop being so fucking self centred, suck it up, grow a pair and get on with it.

I have just taken a big paycut, but it really doesn't upset me as I am very much thankful to still have a job!
We are all in the shit and I suppose we should have all seen it coming. Spend now and pay for it later was never really going to be a good ethos to have.
Bollocks to it, I just feel lucky to have what I have got in my life and have the sense to realise that there is always going to be someone who is worse off.

I know what you mean, I get so annoyed with groups threatening to strike, it's just so completely pointless. They're not getting paid as much as they want because there is no money, so a strike can gain nothing. Plus, it's sending a bad image to other countries, thank God the Irish airport strike didn't go on (not just cos I had a plane to catch) because it would show the rest of the world that Ireland can't deal with it's problems, lowering the chances of getting any help we can get from other countries.

I haven't heard anything about the Irish budget yet, being out of the country, but I'm pretty sure it's all I'm gonna hear about when I get home.
