Hi to all and the band,
sorry I couldn't find an open thread concerning questions for the band. I might have not looked close enough as there were like thousends of threads... - but each concerning one only question (respect...you guys can write a book ;) )
As for that I open this one... (Or can you help me and tell me how to keep track? ;))
And already have a first question:
Are there any new DVDs from concerts/backstage-material etc. planed? (A "yes" would be great news...)
As usual - sorry my spellings and grammar's probably bad...not my mother-togue.

We are currently trying to urge Travis to release a new DVD of stuff. No news as yet though.....unless I have missed something guys??? |

And no :) well - I don't really know his wife. My real name's Nora though. But since the name's already been taken I had to take a nickname...And back in my "younger days..." (ok just...like 5 or 6 years ago) they called me Nell.
There was a movie, with Jodie Foster, I think...called Nell?...That's where they got it from...I once asked them and they told me something about: Eleonora-Nora-Nell...Didn't really get it though....hmmm...
Hey and since you've been so quick and good at answering questions: Where did u buy the venyl-singles of Travis? (Stores keep telling me, they'd only sell CDs and DVDs...but I may have to look harder..)
Are you urging for a OtJ.S - Dvd?

some vinyls have be avaliable from the wee store (see link in the above menu/tool bar thingie) but im not sure what there is at the moment. Some of them have been limited editions Have a look!
Others might be more helpful than me bc i dont own vinyl.
I'd love a new DVD. with lots of extras!

ok thx....well i found some venyls on the wee shope, but f.e. "my eyes". So if you wanna have both songs from the b-side you oghta buy both singles of my eyes?......
well I'f I ever buy something from this shop - or probably: when I'll buy something: it better be lots of things...otherwise I'm paying much more for the postage as for the things itselfs ;)

I did start a thread like this, but it wasn't too successful... I think this one is much better!
I am slowly getting vinyls from eBay, but you have to wait for a long time before good stuff comes up. There isn't really anywhere to get them all unless you don't mind paying a lot :( |

Hi...well I'm still studying...and will be for a long time (if I really pass those tests..) So my money goes mainly there...but it's travis....i may wanna spend a bit money for this..:)
Another question.
I've been wondering for a long time now: How do you start writing a song.
I suppose u start with an inspiration - a subject to write about. But o oughta start with the melody first, right?
Or do you write down some chords first?
And when you've got the melody, and the chords - do you write a real arrangement for every instrument? Or for the vocals?
And when do you add the lyrics...
You have written so much about the studioprocess ;) That makes me wondering what happens before...
Well gotta go...linguistics today...
