I was at the Wolverhampton gig last week and the band asked us to say hello to the people standing next to us or someone that we didn't know before peforming 'Closer'. They said that we were sharing a special moment and would probably never see each other again.......
I lived out in Spain until around a year ago, I was out there for a couple of years but had to come back for various reasons. It was really hard to come back to the UK and my home town where I no longer had any friends.
Travis played a gig here in my home town at the beginning of Sept. I went on my own due to lack of friends to go with :-( But I was determined not to miss out!!!!
Anyway, I met a group of girls there, and we got talking. I stood with them for the entire night and then we went to the pub afterwards. The night was amazing for me, the gig was fab (not sure the band would agree) I had finally got to see my fav band and I was at the front. To top it all off I had made new friends for the first time in ages.
One of the friends that I made that night has been there for me through a really rough patch while my Dad has been quite poorly. We have been inseperable ever since September 5th, laughing, singing, shopping, dancing and drinking together!!!!! I am so glad that I went that night because without Travis I would never have met my friend Rosey. When I listen to 'Friends' I think of our special bond.
