I think we need more suggestions from the guys.
What would a guy who can buy everything want?
(I'm still pretty sure they will say 'sex', tho) |

i am still boycotting this 'holiday'. haha 23 years of bitterness and counting! :P
How about a 2008 Norway Calendar. :)
If you have no clue what I'm talking about...go read the boardies in dreams thread. |

1) My Bloody Valentine
2) Sex
And we're on page two of this thread??? I don't go to other boards but I've got to think we are ace at getting off topic!!
Goosey, if he is a guy who buys everything for himself she should give him something homemade (perhaps a full dinner or something crafty, wherever her talents lie) or take him on some fun activity.
(tangent: Lauren, that's cool about your non-date date!)
Okay... back to the subject
Yeah, if she can cook a meal would be nice. I don't know, or a an unconvential little date. Like flying a kite, or having a picnic, or going to a museum (holla!). I'm a geek, and I'd be a sucker for those kind of things. If you added Chipotle to my non-date, that would have been boss.
EDIT: Oi! I almost forgot, and a stop by Barnes and Noble... I'm a sucker for B&N, don't ask me why. |

I'm liking the homemade dinner thing...all fancy and what not. Simple, inexpensive, shows how much you care.
Flying a kite!! That is awesome as well.

That can be dangerous, esp. if you're frying something.
Goosey do you think any of these sound good?
I thought of another one: a gift certificate for a couple's massage. Or just invite him over and surprise him with it. |

Well, accoring to the sermon on the mound "Blessed are the cheesemakers. And the geeks shall inherit the earth".
So we're well in there!
I like the kite flying museum suggestion. Unique dates beat boring old dinner and a flick. Shows a bit of imagination. Unless this is just a blossoming romance, in which case don't do it! It just sets the bar too high from day one, and leaves you with no place to go later on!
If it helps (and it won't) the last present I bought was for my friends birthday, and they got a kazoo.
P.S. Lauren - when I was in the states I went shopping in Steve & Barrys! They had a GI Joe t-shirt. |
