The actors are a real life couple too.
Really?! I didn't know that. I knew they were musicians and the guy is from The Frames...but didn't know they were really a couple.
They just became a couple when they were shooting the film. However the guy already knew the girl. The Frames was touring in Czech and they had a contact with her father somehow, so they met and started play music together. Marketa was 13 years old that time and she was 18 during the shooting.
I'm just curious, do you see any similarity to Travis's tune? I had this impression when I seen the movie first, and listening the soundtrack, it's just stucked in my mind...
Awww...that's so nice. They make a good couple.

Loved this film so much. Inspired the hell out of me. The music is gorgeous stuff. I love The Frames and Glen Hansard is brilliant. |

The Frames are my second favourite band behind Travis, but i think they're both totally different. Not totally, but not the same anyway!
Btw, Glen Hansard is the lead singer of The Frames which is why i mentioned them |

i believe that it`s tedious enough (as a fan of travis) to read to every moment that your music sound like another music.
SORRY, but it`s what i feel |

Movie - ok, I've seen better independent movies, including irish ones. Alright story though.
Music - Quite good, I prefer his work with The Frames...Lay Me Down...Star Star...yummy.
TBH i can't understand the hype, not that it's a bad movie or anything...watching a interview with the two main actors they share the same sentiment.

Good story with brilliant music. Many of the melodies reminds me Travis sound. Especially song "When you mind's made up".
At least someone else hears the similarities too--you're thinking of Dougie's Ring out the Bell. I think the film was better than the music tho.
