I love the Beatles and to be fair I haven't seen Across the Universe but it doesn't seem quite right that that should win best soundtrack. It won because it's Beatles songs. |

That's true. "Once" was original, new stuff. So you girls have got a point there.
Hey Anne, how was the date? Happy meals? :) |

Date was great. He had a happy meal. I had a salad that I wouldn't exactly call happy but I wouldn't call it sad either. ; ) |

Hahaha too true, too true, With that boat in Marseille I'm finding the French work ethic to be a little tricky at times, there always seems to be a strike or a holy day or something to push up the agreed price... everytime, haha
We Celts love a good moan, but the worst thing is we never do anything to change the situation,
that just wouldn't do at all we'd have nothing to man about then, ;P

I like that part in Barton Fink where the producer says to throw a rock at a writer,
" And throw it hard ! "

To do goog business with the French :
- get a french Calendar with all the bank holidays, and be warned that there is plenty of days off in May so you basically don't do much in that month and in your job I would guess it's an important month
- request clear confirmation in writing and reconfirm it's clear
- DO CHEAT with dates, bring them forward so that you're not fucked by delays on deadlines
- Don't get too friendly, they will not understand the getting pissed thing after work and look down on you if you do drink too much...strangely!!

Just one? Bugger!! I've never been to Dublin but will surely let you know if that ever happens. In the meantime next time you're in Marseille let me know. I'm not too close, 1h away north from the airport so it might be possible to arrange something. Anyway I can also recommend good restaurants etc... oh and did I mention before Pastis? The local Marseillais apéritif? Oh sorry that's for serious drinkers Dubz! |
