These are all really great! I didn't know you could bring in a camera like that. I really love the first one of Dougie. Great lighting on that one, half his face, nice! It looks great in B&W too. And the ones of Dougie and Andy are great. The expressions were very candid. Nice job! |

Yeah, and last summer Real Madrid bought a player whose name is Diarra (similar to diarrhoea [in Spanish diarrea]), and all the papers made a lot of jokes, because the Real also wanted to buy Kaka.... Imagine the situation: Diarra and Kaka playing on the same team... Better don't watch a game while eating :p |

Thanks again everyone! My camera is a Nikon D50. They're not making them anymore, but you may still find some in the stores or the little brother is the D40 and the big brother is the D70. The lens was the 50mm 1.8. These two together would run you about $500-$600 about the same as a niceish point and shoot. This is NOT a "pro" camera, it's a prosumer, one step up from your general consumer camera but not with all the bells, whistles, and options of a REAL "pro" camera.
I contribute a lot of the quality to the fact that I shoot manual and in RAW. I choose the settings and RAW means that the camera does not do ANY in camera editting, so no compression or quality loss. It's more work as I have to open EACH image in a RAW editor, make adjustments, and then save as JPEG, but the images are so much better, it's worth it.
Thanks again :) |

So, I'm not just bumping up an old post for no reason...
After the show at the 9:30 Club in DC on the 23rd I had Dougie and Andy sign some pictures that I took at the 2007 gig. Dougie asked if I could post some in the archives and I said sure...but I can't choose which ones!!
HELP! I can upload up to 20, which do you think I should put up there? |

So...it took me a moment to figure out these weren't from this year! It was Dougie's striped shirt that tipped me off. Then I thought, "These pictures are outstanding!" Then I saw that I wrote that exact thing a year ago. Consistent!
After I get the kids settled in from school in a few minutes I'll peruse more carefully and give you my recommendations. : ) |

Oh I remember these from 2 years ago! They are great pictures. I really like the one of Fran and Dougie back-to-back and then the one with Dougie and Andy, but they are all so good! |

Well, I've taken only the pics you posted here before (I hadn't seen them so I'm glad you brought up this thread)...these are my choices:
-- He's always smiling, so it's a must have.
-- Fran using his hands as he speaks, also a must.
-- Neil, finally not hidden in the back :)
-- Cool shot!
-- This is just FUN :D
-- Our guitar hero/God on the top, going crazy and rocking it out, another must.
-- Aww, lovely capture...
-- Last, but not least, one of the whole gang.
