Unlike Friday, today was really cold and rainy which sucked quite a bit. But the weather was never gonna get in the way of us getting right down to some quality food fighting. When we arrived the art department was dressing the dining room. It looked very posh, very regal.
Today was the day we met all the rest of the cast. There is a mischievous girl, her mother and father, who are very stuck up indeed.
The girls jealous boyfriend, a debutante, a posh madam, an old colonel, an older posh lady, two butlers, a chef, and a maid played by Nora ( my fiance). Nora wanted so much to get a pie in the face that Jon and Val, the directors, allowed her the role of sexy french, cross that out, GERMAN, maid.
So we all sat down at around 3pm. The starters weren't the kind of thing that we would normally eat. On our plate was a selection of fishy stuff. Oysters and a smelly crustacean were the main attraction.
On the table was masses of food like mash potatoes, spaghetti, meatballs in a cream sauce and stuff that when thrown would cause alot of damage. Remember all of the food on the table was gonna be fair game in a couple of hours.
I was sitting between the debutante and the posh madam. I won't go into too much detail because the video speaks for itself. We had a great day. As we shot, a guy made prints from the takes and pasted them onto a storyboard so that the directors could see what they had.
All the actors were so cool. Really good fun and so up for getting down and dirty. Out of costume you wouldn't have recognised them either. We were all in our suits looking dapper as well.
By the end of the day all the food had been thrown with everyone exhausted. We went home thinking about our pie throwing technique and tomorrows final showdown. Bring on the PIES.
