Hubby is most likely going there next week for work. I got to explain to him about the weird fake chili up there.
(Dak, I threw that in there just to annoy you. hee hee!)
He was very intrigued. He says he definitely wants 5-way chili.
So any parlor recommendations? |

I've never heard of 5-Way chili, but the BEST place to get chili (and meet lots of hot hockey players) is Cheli's Chili Bar in Detroit!!! WOOHOOO! |

They serve it over spaghetti!
Texas chili. Beef, beans, etc. (and no spaghetti)

Chillis chopped over pasta with tons of garlic is an Italian dish, and lovely it is too - and very good for you! Perhaps it's not exactly the same idea as the Cincinnati version, but don't be too grossed out by spicy spaghetti :) |

Really?! How can that gross you out, Ricardo? Chili is tomato-based and has beef in it, just like Spaghetti sauce, lol. The only difference is chili is more spicy and has beans in it usually. Sounds good to me. Mmm. |

something about the texture of that kinda grosses me out too. Maybe its the pasta and beans part of it. Those dont seem to go together. |

In another thread I commented on it being basically a very hearty spaghetti sauce. So while I don't think it's gross but it definitely strikes me as odd.
Dak, so they really put that much cheese on top? Because while I love cheese (and I know you do too!) it sure seems like a scary amount.
Ric, a visit to the Texas Chili Parlor would be on the itinerary if we can get the boardie convention moved to Austin. |

You can get a three way (No Beans, No Onions) or a Four Way (No Beans) I always get the three way. :D |
