| Everybody probably knows the answer to this one and I'm a complete dork for asking, but where did the the character J. Smith come from? Who is he? Real or fictional? I'm just curious. |

| J. Smith is the most common name in the UK, so this character is meant to represent the common man. The idea ties in very well with the mysteriousness of Travis' other album titles "The Man Who"..."The Invisible Band"..."The Boy With No Name"... |
