We can't vote early in Michigan, so I'll be in a loooong line on the 4th, I'm sure. Hopefully, my choice will win the second time around. :)

Because some states have the man power and money to do so, and some don't. If they do then they allow it. Some people take advantage of it because they might be out of state when the election rolls around, some take advantage of it because they don't want to wait in the long lines on the 4th. 34 states and the District of Columbia allow early voting. Out of those 31 states don't require you to have an excuse to vote early. |

You can vote early here. My husband is glad because he will be out of state next Tuesday.
I'm going to vote tonight because I don't want to deal with the circus on Tuesday.
I think it boils down to trying to make it as easy as possible to get a better turn out since voter turn out here is historically so low. |

god, I think if someone did that over here, no one would vote for him anymore (they'd say he likes wasting money etc). but - as always when it comes to politics - the States are different ;)
Well, Obama has raised roughly 600 million. Some of it has come from individual donors by way of his website. So... my guess is that the people who donated the money didn't mind that it was used towards him campaigning, so they wouldn't necessarily see it as a waste. |
