yes, there is an EXTREEEEEEME shortage of eye candy round here, it's quite depressing. Perhaps that explains why I'm so desperate to leave?!! |

For a moment I thought that was Musgrave Hospital where I had my arm taken apart the other month. |

Because it's raining outside! Look out the window at my poor husband milking the cow in the rain. Actually right now, it would probably freeze. |

This thread is so cool! It's nice to see where everyone works.
I tutor a little girl, so I'd have to take a pic of her and her desk :oP |

Nikki, they need to give you more space! You hardly have enough room for a piece of paper on your desk. |

That's a good idea.
See how much the University of Buenos Aires loves the Social Sciences Department: we have four different buildings that are far away from each other (so maybe I take a class in one of them and then I have to go to another one for a different class).
The career I study, Sociology, has its place in one of these buildings. It's a 6 stories building, the 6th floor is closed because it's in risk of collapsing.
The staircases are so tiny and there's so many people that it's not easy to go up or down (the elevators are so old that some people are afraid of them).
The classrooms are too small compared to the ammount of people that's supposed to get in them. Many times I attend classes and I sit on the floor.
Some of the bathrooms haven't got doors anymore. Soap and toilet paper, what's that? Bring your own!
For the record, it is free. I love it that it's free and that it's the best university of the country, and one of the best of Latin America. But other departments don't have these issues. I've been to other colleges of the University Of Buenos Aires and they're way better than the Social Sciences one. So the problem is not that it's free and massive, it's that they don't spend enough budget on us.
The flowerpots are gone now.
This is one of the classrooms, the biggest one, I think.

some sculpture at my campus, quite cool:
my campus -nature, threes, it's all green!
universidad de chile - central building (though it's not used for classes, just for seminaries, etc)
(juli! one of my argentinian friends lives on marcelo t de alvear street! how weird is that! xD) |
