I just wanted to start this thread because unlike the Golden Globes, the Brits didn't snub Kelly Macdonald! She's nominated for Best Supporting Actress! Hooray!

Complete BAFTA nomination list

Yeah for her!! She did that part wonderfully- it's just such a small role so I think that's why she isn't getting as much acclaim as she deserves.

[*SLIGHT SPOILER IN NEXT TWO SENTENCES**] That scene at the end with Mr. Evil BadHair was fantastic. I admired her for refusing to play his game.

On a tangent: my friend and I once were being silly and were trying to come up with a new term for farting and wanted to see if we could get it to catch on. We came up with, "I just baftaed."

It didn't catch on. But couldn't BAFTA be a good term for tooting??

I had totally forgotten about it until I saw Lauren's post. I may try and start using it again.

I have to agree.
And why is Das Leben der Anderen nominated this year? It's brilliant, though.

I'm happy for Javier Bardem. Good for him!
